In an era where Western and Eastern theories about women have reached a deadlock, the need for a “third model” for women is felt more than ever. Given her position as the leader of all women, Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) stands as the supreme exemplar. This research, employing a descriptive-analytical method, examines her role in jihad across two key domains: “explanatory jihad” and “family.”
Through a re-examination of the historical conditions of that era, her sacrifices and pivotal roles in defending Islam and the position of Wilayah (guardianship), confronting hypocrisy, choosing a spouse, and raising mujahid children have been analyzed. Qualities such as patience, courage, eloquence, and insight throughout every phase of her life have made her an outstanding role model. The rich life of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) can serve as a practical model for contemporary women, so that inspired by this exalted personality, the position of women’s jihad becomes manifest. This study represents a step toward presenting a model of jihadist life for Muslim women, offering guidance rooted in faith, resilience, and active engagement in both social and familial spheres.
